About Me

Hi. I am Christine Cahalin (pronounced Karlin).

I started my professional life as a Nurse, qualifying as a Sick Children’s Nurse and a General Nurse, and then as a Midwife.

After nursing for 15 years, I became involved in teaching and lecturing

I later qualified as a Chiropodist and set up my own private practice. During this time I developed an interest in Complementary Therapies, which ultimately led me to The Bowen Technique.

The attraction for me of this wonderful therapy is that patients can refer themselves to a complementary practitioner without the need for permission from the medical profession for treatments. If clients have pre-existing medical conditions, this is not a bar to treatment. In fact, the treatment works in so many ways that existing medical conditions are often improved along the way. It is gentle and suitable for all age groups and for all conditions, from birth onwards.

The gentle therapy means that the whole treatment experience is calm, relaxing and healing.

I trained with the European College of Bowen Studies, qualifying in 2004 (Cert ECBS). I am a member of the Bowen Therapy Professional Association (MBTPA) and Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
