Welcome to my website. I hope you find what you are looking for here.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed, over-tired, like there's too much to do and so little time, exhausted, achey, drained of energy, like you're struggling to balance your life?
Do you ever wish you could find a space in which to draw breath, think, not think, heal, restore balance to your body mind and spirit, gain new insights and think afresh, rebuild your energy in order to have a better quality of life?
Would you ever consider taking an hour or two out of your week for yourself. Receiving a relaxing therapy that may help you to sleep better, to heal your body, to rest your mind and restore your energy. That may help you to overcome your anxieties and self sabotaging behaviour and restore balance both physically, emotionally and mentally?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may want to consider engaging with The Bowen Technique or Emotional Freedom Technique and receiving a treatment.
Give it some thought and contact me if you feel drawn to these healing modalities.

About the Therapies I offer
The Bowen Technique
The Bowen Technique is a hands-on, physical therapy which involves gentle rolling and stretching moves over the skin and underlying soft tissues of the body, using thumbs and fingers.
It can be applied directly onto the skin or over lightweight clothing, the choice is yours.
Bowen work is unique, in that a 'Bowen move' is like no other work or move, and is definitely not massage. The touch is usually light and gentle.
Another feature of the work is that 'breaks' are introduced at regular intervals, with the therapist either leaving the room, or physically moving away from the client.
These breaks provide a space in which the body and brain are able to connect and healing adjustments can begin.
As Bowen is such a simple, gentle, light-touch therapy, it is suitable for all age groups, from the newborn to the elderly. It is used to address a wide variety of symptoms.
People attending for a Bowen treatment are often looking for help with symptoms such as:
Back pain and sciatica
Neck pain and whiplash
Joint pains such as hip & knee pain
Ankle and foot problems
Tennis elbow, RSI & frozen shoulder
Headaches and Migraine
Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT or tapping, is used to provide emotional healing for a variety of issues.
It is a straightforward technique that involves tapping with your fingers on certain meridian energy points in the body, many of which are on the face, head, neck and hands.
It can be an extremely effective technique when applied correctly.
Clients can easily learn to use the technique on themselves, which can be very useful to apply before any demanding situation such as an interview, an exam or an important sporting event.
An interesting side effect of EFT is that physical pains and symptoms may also respond, and can sometimes disappear along with the clearing of emotional pain and anxiety.
Clients often report feeling 'lighter' or 'clearer' after a session.
Additionally, insights are often gained as to the thinking processes that have caused the issue. This can be very liberating.
People attending for an EFT session are often looking for help with issues such as:
Poor sleep patterns - and many more emotional issues.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Bowen Technique?
The Bowen Technique is a very effective, drug-free, gentle, non-invasive remedial therapy. It releases stress at a very deep level, and then stimulates the body to realign, addressing imbalances in functions and chemical composition, and as far as possible restoring homeostasis.
How does Bowen work?
Research shows that from the very first Bowen moves, the body and mind relax almost into sleep. This depth of relaxation allows the body to respond to the brain’s command to search for imbalances in the system and make the necessary adjustments to correct disorders. The moves also relieve pain, release energy, reduce tension, increase blood supply, improve lymphatic drainage, release toxins, and so much more.
How did the Bowen Technique get its name?
The technique is named after Tom Bowen(1916–1982), He started by treating the injuries, aches and pains of local sportsmen, friends and family and colleagues in Geelong, Australia. He had a particular interest in bad backs. He pioneered the therapy at his clinic in Australia during the 1960s.
What is the treatment like?
Using fingers and thumbs on precise points of your body, small rolling type moves are made over muscles, tendons, ligaments and soft tissue. The body is left to rest for short periods (of a few minutes) in between sets of Bowen moves, to allow the body to absorb the information it has received and initiate its healing process. The touch is light and gentle, not manipulative, and is suitable for anyone. If preferred, Bowen can be performed through light clothing. A Bowen treatment is generally pleasant to receive, and many clients become so relaxed that they fall asleep during the treatment.
Does Bowen therapy hurt?
Bowen therapy consists of gentle moves on precise points in the body, using only the amount of pressure appropriate for the individual being treated. No hard-tissue manipulation or force is needed or used.
Is Bowen therapy safe?
Yes. There are no violent twists, cracks or crunches. Bowen is practiced with great success on people of all ages, from new-born babies to the very elderly.
How many Bowen treatments will I need?
This varies from person to person, because everyone responds differently but, on average, it is recommended that a client commits to three sessions, ideally 7 days apart. Some problems need more treatments and some even fewer, but you will not be required to have a long course of treatment, only to find that it hasn't helped. Although there are never any promises, you should in most cases start to see change fairly quickly.
Will the effects of my Bowen therapy last?
Bowen’s “ace card” is that conditions successfully treated will usually not return unless re-injury occurs. Rapid and long-lasting results are common, and many conditions that have failed to respond to other treatments are found to respond very well to Bowen.
Will I have to undress for treatment?
No, Bowen can be administered through a thin layer of clothing if preferred, with no loss of efficacy.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and a list of any medication you are taking
What happens at the initial consultation?
I will take notes on your past history and medication along with the condition that has bought you for Bowen. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any further questions you may have concerning Bowen.
How long does a Bowen session take?
A Bowen treatment usually last for between 45 - 60 mins, the first visit could take just over an hour due to an initial consultation.
What about my medication?
I will never change, reduce, or recommend that you stop taking, medication that your doctor has prescribed for you, and will always refer you back to your doctor for advice on this matter.
Can I mix Bowen with other therapies?
Other therapies can interfere with the potential benefits of Bowen therapy by confusing the body’s response and inhibiting the healing process. So it is recommended that you refrain from other hands-on therapies during the period that you are having Bowen treatments.
Will a Bowen therapist diagnose my condition?
No, Bowen is not a diagnostic therapy. Your GP will be the only person to diagnose.
Is Bowen therapy expensive?
No. Because it often achieves positive results very quickly, and success rates are high with conditions that are normally difficult and expensive to treat, Bowen is recognised as a very cost-effective treatment.
